Some truths taste like terror and burn the whole way down.

Give it to me straight, I’d rather take the flames before the sweet taste of a lie.

If you know your truth will take me to my knees, speak it anyway.

This spine has resurrected from ashes, these tears one day will dry.

If offered the option, keep the respect intact, I rather asphyxiate on fact.

Breaking my heart might be out of your control, let it shatter, but do not taint my trust.

I am not interested in filling these lungs with make believe when it comes to arenas of emotions.

Deliver it with respect, be gentle if you must.

These hands have taken ruble and turned it into an empire.

My eyes have witnessed unfathomable darkness but always find the light.

Remain true to you, this soul has resilience in unmeasurable amounts.

Just like each new dawn with beauty I to will rise, we wouldn’t have the day if we didn’t know the night.
