Just for now.

Things are changing so fast.

Most of reality doesn’t seem real.

Theres so many things to tend to, all varying in size and the shape of their priority.

So just for now …

The sound of your voice cannot be heard by my ears

And my eyes refrain from the sight of your face

Both hands are too busy to reach for yours

Not by choice – or out of anger - simply because,

You remind me of forever, and there’s no time for that today.

So just for now …

You’ve been plucked and pulled from both memory and mind

Cleared out of every corner and crack in my heart

So that I can remember to forget you,

Maybe not forever but all together just for now.
